About Us

Centre for Sustainable Digital (Re)Manufacturing (ReManuTech) is a research centre at the University of Limerick dedicated to advancing sustainable, intelligent, and digitally enabled manufacturing. We bring together expertise in digital twins, artificial intelligence, wireless sensing, and circular-economy innovation to support the transformation of modern industrial systems.

Purpose & Direction

ReManuTech aims to drive the transition to a circular, data-driven, and resource-efficient manufacturing ecosystem by developing advanced digital technologies that enhance performance, sustainability, and operational intelligence. Our ambition is to lead Europe’s sustainable digital transformation, empowering industry to extend product lifecycles, increase efficiency, reduce waste, and adopt intelligent, real-time operations.

What We Do

We collaborate extensively with industry partners, academic researchers, and public-sector organisations to ensure that our work generates meaningful impact and effectively bridges scientific innovation with practical application. These partnerships enable us to validate technologies in real-world environments, inform policy discussions, and co-create solutions that advance the digital and sustainable transformation of manufacturing. By aligning our efforts with national strategies and European initiatives—including the Green Deal and Digital Europe—we ensure that our research contributes directly to broader societal, economic, and environmental goals.
